Melania Trump 'living the dream without Donald' as pair have fascinating 'arrangement'
A critic of Donald Trump has cheekily remarked that Melania is "living the American Dream" and alluded to the couple having some sort of "arrangement" in their marriage.
Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States today (Monday, January 20) at the Capital Rotunda in Washington DC. The event was star-studded, with international leaders, past presidents, and tech moguls like Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Apple's Tim Cook, and TikTok's Shou Chew in attendance.
Professor Anthony Glees from the University of Buckingham has commented on how the past year has been a win for Melania. "She doesn't actually have to share her life with Trump. 2024 has made Melania great again, even if it won't do the same for America," he said in an interview with the Mirror.
"In her own way, Melania too has lived the America dream. From the backwoods of Slovenia, to the wife of the most powerful man in the world, now with a personal wealth fund that will see her and her family in the clover for the rest of their lives, what's not to like?"
Glees also referenced a reported remark by the late Queen Elizabeth II, suggesting the couple had an "arrangement" in their marriage. According to the 2024 book 'A Voyage Around The Queen' by Craig Brown, the late monarch, who hosted Trump twice during her reign, allegedly described the President as "very rude."
The book claims the Queen was particularly displeased by Trump's behavior, stating, "She particularly disliked the way he couldn't stop looking over her shoulder, as though in search of others more interesting," reportedly referencing a conversation the Queen had with a lunch guest "weeks" after Trump's visit.
Glees added, "Our own beloved late Queen seems to have believed that she and Trump had 'an arrangement', doubtless of a pecuniary kind, to stay together," stating that Her Majesty "got it in one."
Just hours before his inauguration, Trump held a victory rally at Washington's Capital One Arena, addressing 20,000 MAGA supporters. He declared, "At noon, the curtain closes on four long years of American decline, and we begin a brand new day of American strength and prosperity, dignity and pride."
"Bringing it all back once and for all. We are going to end the reign of a failed and corrupt political establishment in Washington, a failed administration. We achieved the most epic political victory our country has ever seen."
