George Michael’s former partner Kenny Goss secures settlement after legal battle

George Michael’s former partner, Kenny Goss, has reached a settlement with the singer songwriter’s estate after a long-running feud.

The trustees of Michael’s estate have finally agreed a settlement with Goss after the 62-year-old claimed £15,000-a-month from the family after he was left out of George’s will, the Sun reported.

Michael had paid Goss what has been described as a generous monthly allowance before they broke up two decades ago, the Sun previously reported.

But he left the former art dealer nothing after his death in 2016 prompting Goss’ legal action against the family.

Goss was suing under the Inheritance Act 1975, which allows those who were financially dependent on someone in life to claim from their estate even if they are left out of the will.

But he has now reportedly agreed a settlement with trustees and Michael’s sister Panayiota Panayiotou, known as Yioda, according to documents released by the High Court in London, the Sun reported.

When Michael died in 2016, the bulk of his estate was passed to Yioda and his other sister, Melanie Panayiotou.

On Christmas Day 2019, Melanie died after falling into a diabetic coma, and documents seen by the tabloid newspaper revealed that Yioda, 59, is set to inherit her late sister’s multi-million estate.

An order signed off by a judge, Master Francesca Kaye, said the terms of the settlement with Goss are secret and that copies of the details are held by lawyers.
