Kate Middleton 'will not allow sister-in-law Meghan Markle to walk all over her'

Kate Middleton will not be allowing Meghan Markle to "walk all over", it has been claimed by a comedian.

Jenny Eclair weighed in on the "rift" between the sisters-in-law in her column for The Independent, in which she claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge is working overtime to repair damage following Markle's tell-all Oprah chat in March.

"Kate, it seems, isn't going to allow herself, William or her children to get walked over. She is fighting back," the 61 year old writes.

During her interview with Oprah two months earlier, Duchess of Sussex Meghan admitted that it was, in fact, Kate who made her cry days before her wedding to Prince Harry, despite reports at the time stating the complete opposite.

Meghan also claimed there were "concerns" over the colour of her two-year-old son Archie's skin and revealed she had suicidal thoughts during her time in the royal family.

Since the interview, Kate has offered more insight into her family life than before.

The Cambridge's shared a family video to mark their tenth wedding anniversary.

They also shared several birthday snaps from Prince Lous' third birthday, which Jenny says were "so ordinary despite being Royal".

Kate also recently released the book Hold Still: A Portrait Of Our Nation In 2020 and began a YouTube channel with her husband, Prince William.

Meghan is also succeeding on the professional front, having announced plans to release her children's book, The Bench.

She also addressed the importance of vaccinations efforts around the world, and particularly in developing countries, during a speech at the star-studded Vax Live over the weekend.

The talented Suits actress met Prince Harry in 2016, and they got married in 2018, after a whirlwind romance that attracted lots of media attention.

In May 2019, the Royal couple welcomed their first baby Archie, who recently celebrated his second birthday, and soon after quit their positions as senior members of the royal family.

Meghan is currently pregnant with her second child, and the couple revealed to Oprah that the baby is a girl.
