Katie Price registered disabled after breaking both feet

Katie Price is registered disabled after breaking both her feet last year.

The 42-year-old star has been in constant pain since she fell from a 25ft wall onto a concrete ramp while on holiday in Turkey and has applied for a blue badge for her car so she can park in a disabled spot when she goes shopping. The mother-of-five finds it difficult to walk for more than 20 minutes and uses a wheelchair if the family go out for the day.

"I will never be the same, I've had to accept that, but I'm staying positive," she told The Sun newspaper. "I've been given two sets of painkillers but I can't take them because I'm scared of becoming addicted, so I'm just in constant pain. It feels like you're being electrocuted - like shocks of lightning shooting up my feet all day. I waddle like a duck.

"It's just one thing after another... I know - every day is a nightmare at the moment in the life of the Pricey. I'm registered disabled and have got letters from the doctors to certify me for a blue badge, which I've sent off for."

Katie previously feared she would never walk again after spending 10 days in hospital and undergoing an eight-hour operation to fuse the bones back together in her feet.

She goes to physiotherapy sessions four times a week and may have to have more surgery in the future. Katie hopes her blue badge will arrive soon as it will reduce the pain she feels whenever she has to walk anywhere.

"I have to park near the entrances to shops all the time, otherwise it would cripple me to walk from the back of a car park to a shop and back again," she added. "I can't carry anything from the shops either or even walk up the stairs with anything. The heavier items, the more it hurts my feet."
