Vikings confirm Ngakoue trade to Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens have strengthened their defense by adding Yannick Ngakoue in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings.
Ngakoue had only arrived in Minnesota in August in a deal that saw a second-round pick and a conditional fifth-round selection sent to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
However, the defensive end is on the move again after Minnesota confirmed he has been traded to Baltimore.
According to NFL sources, the Ravens have given up a 2021 third-round pick and a conditional fifth-round pick in 2022 to the Vikings, who have a 1-5 record this season.
Despite his team struggling, Ngakoue - who had requested to be traded away by the Jaguars in the offseason - had five sacks and two forced fumbles in six games.
The 25-year-old had reportedly accepted a pay cut to join the Vikings, signing a one-year contract worth $12million rather than play on his franchise tender offer worth $17.8m in Jacksonville.
Baltimore (5-1) are on a bye before returning to action in Week 8, hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers - their AFC North rivals - on November 1.
