Prince Harry appears more in love than ever as he looks adoringly at Meghan Markle

Prince Harry has proved he's more in love than ever as he's been photographed looking adoringly at his wife Meghan Markle as they stepped out in The Hague.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were recently denied private armed guards for their trip to Holland, are in The Netherlands for the the Invictus Games, which start on 16 April. Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, were seen walking down the yellow carpet for a reception ahead of the competitions.

While Harry donned a navy suit with a white shirt, which had the top buttons loose, Meghan wore a stunning white suit, complete with a blazer and trousers alongside a pair of matching high heels.

Meghan styled her brunette mane down for the occasion and looked incredible with a smokey eyeshadow and mascara and a nude lip.

Accessorising with gold jewellery and a white clutch bag, the former Suits star stayed close to her other half as they mingled.

But while they spoke to people ahead of the games, it appears Harry couldn't keep his eyes off his wife and offered a small smile as he gazed at her in adoration.

Prior to their arrival on the yellow carpet, the couple met with the Ukrainian Invictus team. Ukrainian Oleg Karpenko shared a tweet about meeting the royal as they said: "You just look who is here with us the Prince himself with a calendar.

"The Invictus Games Ukraine team will soon start winning its medals at these competitions. Proud."

It’s believed that the trip is the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first joint venture to this side of the Atlantic since relocating to the US in 2020.

With this in mind, the royal pair paid a “secret visit” to the Queen in London while they were in Europe.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed to OK! that they visited the Queen ahead of their appearance at the Invictus Games, and are thought to have also met Harry's father, Prince Charles.

A person who saw the pair told The Sun that the Sussex’s “looked happy and relaxed” and that they “waved to everyone on the bus”.

While Meghan and Harry have travelled over 5,000 miles to attend the Games, the royal couple failed to attend Prince Philip’s memorial last month.

In light of this, the Dutch Royal family aren’t thought to have organised any meet-ups with Meghan and Harry.

Angela Levin, who penned a biography about the Queen’s grandson, told The Sun: “Any decent human being would have been absolutely shocked by Harry’s paltry excuse for not attending the memorial service for Prince Philip.

“The Dutch royals would have seen how he’s treated his family and I do not believe they will make any effort beyond the minimum. They will have seen how upset Catherine and William have been and how very diminished the Queen has looked since her husband’s passing."
