Rapper Lil Yachty sued for assault over alleged attack at music festival

Rapper Lil Yachty is being sued for assault and battery over claims he beat up a concertgoer at festival last year.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the “Minesota” rapper – real name Miles McCollum – is being sued by Jimmy Quivac, who alleges that he was attacked while attending Rolling Loud festival in December 2019.

Quivac claims that he was heading into the event at the Los Angeles Coliseum to watch a tribute to the late rapper Juice WRLD.

In the legal documents, he says that he noticed Yachty and a large crowd waiting near the entrance and was attacked after someone claimed he bumped into them, with the rapper allegedly punching him during the incident.

Quivac claims that the rest of the group joined in and attacked him while he was on the ground, leaving him with injuries to the wrist, hand and arm.

He is suing Lil Yachty, 23, for assault and battery, as well as intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The Independent has contacted Lil Yachty’s representatives for comment.

Last month, the rapper was arrested after he was allegedly caught driving at more than 150 mph on an Atlanta highway.
