Nicolas Cage, 57, and fifth wife Riko Shibata, 27, expecting first child together

Nicolas Cage has announced he is expecting his first child with fifth wife, Riko Shibata.

The Hollywood actor, 57, who already has two children with previous partners, is said to be over the moon with the news.

The news was confirmed by a representative for the couple, who got married in Las Vegas last year, to PEOPLE magazine.

"The parents-to-be are elated!" the statement read.

Nicolas and Riko, 27, met during filming of his film, Prisoners of Ghostland.

Nicolas was on location in Japan in 2020 when he hit it off with actress Riko, who was playing one of the four Mannequin Women in the Sion Sono film.

The couple's whirlwind romance saw them getting engaged over FaceTime after Nicolas had returned to America.

They then got married at the swanky Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas in February 2021.

The low-key ceremony didn't have a huge number of guests, but Nicolas and Riko pulled out all the stops in their stunning outfits for the nuptials.

Nicolas opted for a black tuxedo suit and Riko donned a stunning handmade black bridal Kimono for her special day.

The Hollywood actor also wore a yellow rose buttonhole to match his new wife's gorgeous bouquet, which was filled with roses and other florals.

The Moonstruck star, who is the nephew of legendary Godfather director Francis Ford Coppolla, shares son Weston Coppola Cage, 31, with his ex-partner Nicola Fulton.

He then married Patricia Arquette and Lisa Marie Presley before welcoming another son named Kal-El Coppola Cage, 16, with his third wife Alice Kim.

After the couple split, Nicolas went on to wed girlfriend Erika Koike in a brief marriage that lasted less than a year in 2019.
