Is Melania Trump suing The View? Vicious row with Sunny Hostin explained
Melania Trump has been the subject of several rumors, but her recent one could have legal repercussions.
The first lady is preparing to move back into the White House as President-elect Donald Trump is set to be sworn in next Monday. She’s making plans to decorate the historic home as she and Donald like.
There have been rumors that Melania is planning to sue The View after recent comments from the host. The show is known for its hot takes, featuring hosts of all backgrounds. There were some who said Ivanka Trump could be joining the show, though that doesn’t seem to be happening.
Leading up to the election, the hosts often speculated about the relationship between Melania and Donald. In one episode from October, co-host Sunny Hostin questioned whether or not they actually liked each other.
“I think she hates him,” she said. “I also think she wants to take him out. She does not want to be the first lady anymore.”
She continued saying she allegedly can’t tolerate him and doesn’t want to sleep in the same room as him.
Youtube channel Uncensored Insight claimed the first lady was suing each host for $100 million. Despite the rumors, that doesn’t seem to be true.

Distractify reported that there are no legal records of a court case against the hosts.
Though there's no legal case now, the hosts will likely continue to talk about Melania in the future. Especially after she releases her new Amazon documentary, which will give an inside look into her life as the first lady.
She's been receiving some backlash regarding the choice of director for the documentary set to come out in 2025.
Brett Ratner is set to lead the set, despite being accused of sexual assault and harassment - allegations he denied - during the #MeToo movement in 2017, causing him to exit the working world of Hollywood.
