Ukraine head into the quarter-finals of a European Championship for the first time ever. They go and celebrate in front of their own fans. They qualified for the knockout stages by coming third in group C, now they’re heading to Rome for a quarter-final against England.

Yarmolenko flicked an aerial ball on and Besedin looks like he’s going to reach it frist. Danielson dives in with a high foot. He smashes into Besedin’s knee and cleans him out. The referee initially pulls out a yellow card before VAR sends him to the monitor. One look at the replay is enough and out comes the red.

He brings the ball down in the box but takes too many touches trying to set up a right footed strike. By the time the shot comes Zabarnyi is able to sprint across and put the block in. That was the chance to win it for Sweden!

The game has gone very safe. Ukraine especially just want to get through to extra time. They’re hardly looking forward when they get possession.

Malinovskyi drives forward with the ball before giving it to Yarmolenko on the right side of the box. He attempts to open the angle and find the back post but his shot is poor and Olsen claims it.
